Kingsley Chukwu Batch 2.6 (Lekki Training Centre) Mag Mercy Apartments Kingsley quit working with his aunt three months into the job because he was not getting paid.He searched for jobs for several months but nothing was forthcoming;he dropped his CV at different places including malls,hotels and restaurants. He heard about WAVE from an alumnus again after his application last year was rejected. He applied to the programme and gained admission.The most challenging part of the programme was standing almost the entire training period.Every Time he reached home,he hardly felt his legs. He mentioned  that the most interesting part of the programme was meeting and connecting with different people. "It was fun interacting with different kinds of people.I like to network so it was an opportunity for me to do so." MY WAVE TRAINING EXPERIENCE The West Africa Vocational education (WAVE) program is the brain child of Misan Rewane.  It is designed to help train unemployed youths in the country and give them employment opportunities in the service industry. I am one of the benefactors of this program and I want to share my experience with you. I got admitted into the program in august 2016. I live in Lekki so my training centre was at the vocational training school at Agungi just off the Lekki-Epe expressway.  The admissions officer told me the training was going to be hard but I didn’t care. The thing is, I needed to get a job and I couldn’t find anyone who was hiring so I agreed.  Trust me when  they say they were not joking about the 150 hours of intensive training. It was hard, we stood everyday for 2weeks straight. Our facilitator was Somto a graduate of troy university, Alabama.
